Multi-Pitch Climbing (Level 3) in the Sierra de Guara
Description
Multi-pitch climbing is climbing walls over 40 meters high. This involves climbing for more than one rope length. The climbers split the distance to be climbed between stops called belay stations where they reorganize themselves to begin the next rope length or pitch of climbing.
Multi-pitch climbing provides indescribable sensations. The feeling of height and the verticality of the wall provide an unforgettable experience for the more daring.
Introduction to climbing. Requirements
- Some experience of sport climbing is essential. Participants should be confident climbing grade V+
- Basic notions of rope management and belay techniques.
It is essential that participants do not suffer from vertigo and that they be passionate about adventure sports to ensure that they enjoy the experience.
Climbing areas in the Sierra de Guara
The same climbing areas as for Level 2 - Olvena and Rodellar - have longer walls offering a variety of multi-pitch routes.
Vadiello in the East part of Sierra de Guara is another area with attractive multi-pitch routes.
The internationally famous Mallos de Riglos, near our rafting centre in Murillo de Gállego are monoliths with walls up to 400m high of extraordinary beauty.
Climbing. Personal equipment you need to bring
- Sports shoes or walking boots.
- Comfortable clothes that don’t restrict your movements.
- Warm clothes (depending on the season, please consult).
- A small backpack.
- Waterproof jacket.
- Plenty of drinking water and when combined with the abseiling activity in the afternoon, a picnic lunch. (Picnic lunches can be ordered: 6,5 euros).
Climbing. Equipment provided
- Helmet.
- Climbing harness.
- Ropes, carabiners, quick draws and other safety equipment.
- A specialized guide.
- Health and rescue insurance.
- Picnic lunch (As part of a full day activity and if ordered).
Prices
- 1 participants: 200 euros.
- 2 participants: 120 euros.

- Climbing: Introduction to Climbing will be charged at the same rate as Level 2 Canyoning. Level 2 Climbing will be charged at the same rate as Level 3 Canyoning. Multi-pitch Climbing will be charged at the same rate as Level 4 Canyoning.
- Prices for groups of 8-15 participants will only apply when the group books together.
- Prices do not include travel to and from the activity. Participants should use their own vehicles.
- Prices include: a specialized guide, mandatory insurance and technical equipment necessary for the activity.
